Renee Sacks

PRESIDENT & CEO, SACKS COMMUNICATIONS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF WOMEN BUILDERS COUNCIL, PUBLISHER, DIVERSITY AGENDA

A former NYYU University Professor and Administrator, Renee Sacks, Ph.D., serves private, public, and non-profit organizations. She founded her firm in 1986 and is known as one of the most creative and imaginative professionals in her industry, nationally and locally. She also serves as Executive Director of the Women Builders Council, an advocacy organization for women entrepreneurs and professionals in the building industries since 2012.

An important part of her practice is the focus on solutions for diverse business growth.  For over a decade, she created the largest MWBE Forum in New York State and is now designing and implementing market and contract readiness  MWBE programs for the Ascend Regional Program, several Northeast airline terminal redevelopment programs, including Working Together at Terminal 8, Building Newark Airport Together and the new Terminal 6 Center of Opportunities at JFK. Also, she is developing a new capacity-building program for the Massachusetts Association of General Contractors.

An active content developer, she produced over 22 books in real estate management and operations, developed a new publication and event series for McGraw Hill, publishes Diversity Agenda, and produces national and local events including, AIM, a national leadership program for women, BTEA SafeBuild, BTEA Northeast Recovery Week, PSEG Long Island Diversity Procurement Fair, among many others.
